Beach Chair wedding place cards:
While browsing the internet and looking for something unique to use as place cards for my dauughter's beach wedding,I came across someone who was selling the ones she never used for her wedding. They were less than half the price of what I'd found elsewhere, so I bought them from her. They were all still packaged, but were brown, and didn't match the wedding colors at all. I decided to paint them, using ivory craft paint. They came with cards that sat in a slit at the top, but they kept falling out,and if we were using them outside and the day was windy, everything would have been a mess.
I had to find a way to put the names and table numbers on them,so weather wouldn't affect them. I cut small squares of ivory cardstock, punched a hole in the top, and attached the cards to the back of the chairs with raffia. The plain cards looked a little boring, so I ended up feathering turquoise craft paint on all the edges, writing the guests first names only, and the table numbers beneath.
The FOG made a large wooden box for me that we could use to set up the chairs, and the day of the wedding we filled it with sand, and placed all the chairs in it. Everyone loved them and they looked great that day. It was a simple, cheap and easy project that made a big impact on wedding day!
