Champagne Bubbles Wedding Cake:

My daughter decided on a beach wedding, but didn't want to incorporate all of the typical beachy elements. The colors they chose were simple...ivory, turquoise and silver. Looking for more of a celebration type wedding than a typical wedding-ish wedding, we built everything around the cake.

We found a baker who was willing to practice and make for us a gorgeous turquoise cake with a champagne bottle tilted from the top tier as the topper, with cascading blown sugar bubbles down the tiers. Their initials were on the bottle label too! I found champagne bottle wine bottle stoppers to give as favors as well. We used turquoise pintuck tablecloths, ivory satin chair covers, and ivory napkins, and our centerpieces were 'Wanderfuls'(silver filled candy tubes with handmade flowers as the stoppers, arranged in a design that resembled flowers), surrounded by turquoise glittered votive holders. I also found some large sand cast shells on stands to use for table numbers, after I glued on blue painted numbers. On the outside deck where we had cocktail hour, we did incorporate some other beach elements, but they were subtle. Our seafood buffet was in a large sailboat, tho!

The venue was a beautiful yacht club on the Bay, but inside, the design was definitely not typical of a beach wedding. Everything looked beautiful!
