Being the neurotic person that I am, who tends to tackle the to-do list as the ink is still drying, I began planning my wedding once my fiancé and I had decided we were going to tie the knot which was just over a year from the date :) and in 2 months everything was planned.

Now I have the luxury of looking out for great deals and saving! My biggest problem was with the price of the favours. Of course we want to get the guests something nice but not at the expense of something else at the wedding and how do you choose the perfect favour when everyone is so different? Yes, you can go with the box of sweets but how long will it actually last?

So, upon tons of internet surfing I found this amazing site called LightintheBox. Being a Chinese site, I was extremely skeptical but ordered some "sample" favors. Surprisingly, they were of really good quality, half the average price here, shipped within reasonable time and the service was very professional.

They run different specials at different times so I watched the different prices and found the best time to buy was the ‘free shipping on all favours' special. Instead of buying a set of favours for everyone, I bought favours to suit the individual taste; bottle openers for guys, nightlight turtle for the kids, bottle stoppers, photo albums, frames, candles, coasters and soaps, all with the beach theme.

So now my guests will feel really special because I took the time to get them different gifts to suit them and will treasure their gifts because it’s personal and practical!
